It came in a couple of pieces, and involved a rather wet and messy installation process that made me a bit nervous. The front piece went on perfect, and I am still impressed with it.
The back was another matter. It didn't quite line up between the camera opening and the volume switches, and it wouldn't stay adhered at the edges. Even after reading the FAQ, it seemed to be more trouble than it was worth. I don't really care if the back is scratched, and since I use a case, it never will.
I bought a new MacBook Pro i7 15 inch last week and thought an Invisible Shield would do the trick around the trackpad. If you forget to take your watch off, you can scratch the surface. The ZAGG shield, is a bit messier as the pieces of vinyl get bigger. I managed to get it reasonably aligned, but it does seem to be letting go on the edges even after 24 hours. It's a temporary fix that cost $60.
I tried the top and bottom pieces. Now that I was practiced, it became a little easier, but the finished result looks like crap. Sure, it protects the MacBook Pro from scratches, but it also looks like I painted my laptop with a coarse brush. This is a big piece of sticky vinyl. As perfect as I applied it, tiny micro bubbles still appear, and when they begin to dry, the underlying grey aluminum case has these ugly blotches. Now the President, Ken Sonntag, replies to your email if you have a problem, and I just wasn't happy with my purchase. He offered to assist in the application and said that it was probably a result of bubbles getting trapped. Perhaps, but it is a big surface area, and it really does change the look of the Aluminum finish. I probably could have lived with the bottom looking a little cruddy, but not the top.
Be aware of the return policy. This company is very good at looking after you, but try to help them out with that. I messed it up, but Ken was a reasonable guy and refunded my money anyway.
If you want to return it, keep it! Try to get it off flat and stick it on some paper. I rolled mine off and it ended up in a ball. I threw it out. I mean, who want that returned? It's warrantied for life, so what's the problem? ZAGG did refund my money. I have manufactured things fairly inexpensively in the past, and sold them at a premium because of the work. I see replacing this material as a low cost issue for a company. He took care of it personally.
So now he has a happy customer that will go out of his way to buy the product again for smaller devices. For me, I just couldn't handle a big sheet of sticky film. It didn't work for me. Your mileage may vary.
That's my review of the ZAGG Invisible Shield Products. The iPhone solution was $34, and I utilized half of it. Still a good buy. I ended up removing all of the shield for the MacBook Pro.
I think I will opt for a Speck transparent cover. I saw one today on a friends MacBook Pro, and it looks great.
Update: I found Speck Satin covers for $20 in Oakville, Ontario, because they are for the previous version. The Kensington lock opening doesn't quite line up (who cares?), and the new Apple power adapter doesn't fit.............wait a minute. Turns out, you can reverse the plug and it charges.
Hey, it was 20 bucks. I bought two.

Bought a ZAGG invisible shield for my IPHONE. Worked GREAT at first. After about a month the adhesive began peeling off around the edges. All the "patent pending, award winning" technology just peeled off.
Don't believe all the hype.
Just saying, you didn't buy a 3GS with 32 gigs of RAM, it's 32 gigs capacity. 32 gigs of RAM would be impossilbe in a mobile devce like an iPhone. I think the 3GS only has 256 MBs of RAM.
You are correct. Noted. :-)
